I've always loved Mermaids and found them so magickal and captivating. Their healing energy and positivity, along with their manifestation skills and teachings make them a highly intelligent spiritual species. 

Living with a Piscean Mother, the underwater realm has always been a part of my life from the underwater tropical fish that decorated my bathroom when I was a young girl complete with featured sand, to the frog pond that lives in my garden. My mum has always had a love for Sea Horses and would tell me as a child just how much she wished she could have one.

Reading Mermaids 101  warmed my feelings of love and connection for the Mermaid realm as I feel an affinity with the realm concerning a past life connection. In this book Doreen discusses people who earn a living as a mermaid by swimming in mermaid  tails using mono-fins. Doreen also touches upon the magickal significance and symbolism of the mermaid and how the famous Starbucks logo incorporates mermaids and manifestation into their business. 

My favourite part of this book is where Doreen discusses the incarnated mermaids and informs the reader about Mer-Angels, Mer-Faeries, and Atlanteans. From the descriptions I highly and strongly identified myself as an Atlantean rather than a directly incarnated Mermaid. I also really enjoyed reading the chapter containing people's experiences with the mermaid realm. 

If you love mermaids, you will LOVE this book and will treasure it within your heart.

Faerie Initiation

Faerie Blessings, 

Today I have my *Faerie Priestess* hat on so to speak. It's been a while (it feels like it's been a while) but I really feel the strong energy of the fey around me of late. 

It began on Samhain, I was heading for lunch at work with my friend whom I share the class with and the wind was up slightly, just enough to encourage the leaves to dance along the pathway in front of us. However whenever I got close to these leaves the wind would get stronger - enough to lift these leaves not just off the pathway but to above my height (I'm 5ft5) and then begin encircling me as we walked along the pathway to the local cake shop. My friend and colleague laughed and commented to me about how whenever I got near to the piles of leaves they just came to life like in the Disney film; Pocahontas.  When we got to the cake shop the ladies behind the counter laughed at us and said "Look at those leaves in your hair!", we turned to each other and laughed like we'd been consumed with Faerie Laughter, we had both indeed got many leaves in our hair! 

I definitely felt the faeries and Elementals around me that day and since then too. 

The Elementals have been calling to me over the past day or so repeatedly telling me that it's time I teach others about them once more (I've previously written about the Elementals some 4 or so years ago, and more recently, The Elemental Masters). I've also received guidance from Queen Mab (My Faery Mentor) who has discussed at length with me the concerns she has for FaeryLand. There were many others from FaeryLand that also attended my initiation including the Elm Tree Elf, Oak Tree Elf, the Elfin Prince and Faeries of the Foxgloves. There was mush fun after the *official* discussions and I tend to agree with what she has said to me. Let me explain.

Faery recently my whole persona has been questioned by myself, I've begun a journey of TrueSelf discovery and this is having a ripple effect upon all areas of my life; career, home life, health, interests, spirituality and friends. Dare I say that now I'm quite enjoying the fact that I have been "Given permission" (Although I needed no-one permission) to find myself! It's actually quite fun playing and seeing what excites me, and what doesn't. 

I've made choices, decisions and plans about my *Muggle* career, but my spiritual career, my life path calling is really the main event going on right now as I discover my TrueSelf. I may be a Faerie Priestess, and a Witch but I finally accept (in the last 24 hours) that I don't look like a Faery at all - and that is OK, it's more than OK, it's super! Why? Because I look like ME! (and sometimes I even resemble Regina from Once Upon A Time)

So, getting back to the serious message of this blog post, last night I was visited by the faeries and also Queen Mab and the Faerie Queen of Winter (Otherwise known and depicted as The Snow Queen), along with various faeries and elves who are now working with me on my Faery Pathway. 

I received another initiation into the realm of fey after a discussion with Queen Mab about what the Faery Realm would really appreciate me to doing next. Queen Mab sat with me underneath the Wild Oak and told me how they had sat and watched me as I'd been walking a very jagged pathway this year but with complete Faerie Love couldn't intervene as it was part of my destiny to experience such pain and sadness. However during that time, like every other area in my life, my work as a Faerie Priestess had at times been strained. I agreed, because I've noticed how I've sometimes been slack in my teachings. 

Queen Mab then gently touched my hand and said that my heart had been in it with good faith, so the blessings of the fey were with me. Then she told me that I needed to move on from my current pathway's and thrust myself forward as there are many people who will be coming to me soon through word of my teachings of the Fey. I was somewhat confused and she told me that some of my current avenues, my words go unheard and precious fey energy is wasted, and at this time in our evolution, Faery Energy is very precious. She asked me to close my eyes and describe to her what my vision is of my Faerie Priestess-hood, so I did, I told her that the teachings from me would be received warmly, welcomed and full of love, peace, joy and hope. 

She placed a dragonfly upon my forehead and said "This emblem was gifted to you by us for this very vision - we share your faery vision".

 Dragonfly's help you see through life's illusions, the illusions others have of themselves and also helps you to find your true power within. 

We both discussed how when I first began teaching about the faeries way back in 2004 the energy of the fey was very secretive, and special in that it was a truly magickal experience. We talked through our senses about how when someones received insight from the fey back then, it was literally like putting the spark back into their faery soul and it was almost like  golden glitter lit them up. Of late, in the past Muggle Year or so, I haven't noticed that, which is really very sad.

Queen Mab and I share a vision for mankind and Faery-kind. We want the magick to return to your lives, to your eyes, your soul and your heart. It is with this vision that I was initiated into being a Beacon of Faery Love & Light to all those who are willing to receive it once more.  

So my teachings will return to basics, they will be fun, light hearted and full of the magick that once was more than enough for mankind to accept into their hearts, in the hope that my light as a Faerie Priestess shines brightly once more, brightly enough to outshine those who are using the Realm of the Fey for monetary or egotistical gain. Faeries hate ego's they see what damage they cause, they are by no means angels in the heavenly sense, but they know an honest heart and soul when they see and meet one. 

I have always said that "I work for the Faery and with the Faery". And that is what I stand by. I am not concerned with what or whom I an affiliated to, my heart and soul is of the Faery and my TrueSelf, and that it where is will remain forever more. 

Queen Mab, introduced me to the Faery Queen of Winter and said that as I step up as Faerie Priestess and also as a Human being called Aurora, I need to stop being so much a of Doormat. Mab tells you how it is and she doesn't take time to be polite if the message is strong enough! 

She showed me where I had been a doormat and allowed people to take advantage of my good nature and of my Emerald Sea-Shelled Faerie Heart. I agreed that I had always be a "nice" person, to which she took my hand and said, "My child, I am not asking you to change, We love you as you are, that is what makes you our Faerie Priestess. However I want you to *Step into your Faery Power* once and for all." I asked Mab how I was to do this and she said that the Faery Queen of Winter will coach me and will be with me until Spring. In that time I will have perfected the art of  *Standing in my Faery Power*. 

So you see, I am really beginning to see my life change dramatically and improve since having the rug pulled from underneath my feet. And I know for sure now that the Faeries, do well and truly have my back!

What is *Faerie School*? 


I decided to set up this Faerie School during the summer holidays 2012 as in my experience as a Student Teacher (Primary Teacher) I know just how hard it can be to keep the little ones entertained and occupied. 


My mother was fortunate with me in that I was happy to spend the hours drawing or reading or even gardening with the Fae Folk in my holidays, but not all children are like me and rightly so - each Faerie Child is a spark of magick that needs to be tended to, nurtured and loved as they grow into their own being.


At the *Faerie Whisperer ~ Faerie School* I intend to give you practical ways in which you can help your children spend their summer exploring their spirituality in a relaxed manner, meaning they will be having so much fun they won't realise that they are developing their spirituality - but they will look back on the journey in years to come. 


With this in mind, if you decided to follow the program, it might be a lovely idea to get a blank journal of some sort and take photos of your little Faerie Children as they enjoy the activities. Perhaps you can make it a *Faerie School ScrapBook* and post small messages or reminders of what they were doing when the photo was taken. The idea is to keep a record of what you take part in at Faerie School. 


What can I expect from *Faerie School*? 



At Faerie School, all education is free as it is fully sponsored by The Universe & God. 


I aim to provide daily tips and ideas on how to teach your children more about faeries, angels, mermaids, and unicorns PLUS ways in which you can help encourage your children to think more positively. (I have in my work as a Student Teacher come across lots of children who have had poor self esteem and by using affirmations and positive praise for even the smallest of achievements witnessed children who were repeatedly told and expected to *FAIL* exams, coming out on top, acheiving the best SATs results in a 5 year history at the school! 


I will post oracle readings in a child friendly voice for your little ones to think about during the day/week. I will also be hosting fun competitions and offering very cheap Unicorn Readings for £5.00 for your children. These readings are to ONLY be purchased by an adult and must have a valid ADULT email address to send them too. It is advised that the adult reads the reading before sharing with their child. 


I will also be uploading videos for *Faerie School* whereby I virtually teach your children and give them an activity to complete once the lesson is over as homework. 


But this school is much different from Normal School.... this is FAERIE SCHOOL so it is soooo much more FUN!!! 


At the end of *Faerie School* 's first term which ends 1st September, all children who participated will recieve a sparkling certificate of achievement

♥ Connecting to your Inner Mermaid ♥

Mer Blessings everyone,

Of late I have experienced the emotional roller-coaster experience that has really tested my faith in myself and my spiritual guides have been there as always reassuring me through comforting signs and communications that "everything would be OK" - and you know something? They were right! Everything has turned out stronger and better than before and it all helped by communicating truthfully with my partner, myself and my Spiritual Helpers. Communication really is key in building any relationship.

After I am self reassured that everything is OK, I tend to get a surge of energy that urges me to dive right in to  connecting to my spirituality, and this occasion was no different. Over the past 4 months I've really connected with mermaids and my inner mermaid who has been attempting to help me heal my own issues with my body. Like many women, I cannot yet say 100% truthfully that I love my body. The Mermaids can help with this and I am working through the issues, albeit slowly.

I've spent time thinking about ways in which we can all connect with our inner mermaid without donning a tail and swimming in the pool in our back garden...(what? You don't have a swimming pool? - We'll I'll let you into a secret - Neither do I!). I spend my time when I soak in the tub to connect to the Mermaids and my Inner Mermaid. I also use my Mermaid Oracle cards to see what guidance I need to be aware of, and I find that I always feel much more positive once I've connected to my inner mermaid.

Here are some fun ways in which you can too;

• Create a Mermaid Sea Altar ~ Collect together some Sea Shells, Crystals (such as Sea Jasper, Coral, Aquamarine), incense related to the Sea such as Sea Breeze, Mermaid Oracle Cards, Mermaid Figurines and/or a beautiful picture of a Mermaid that fills your heart with joy. Also place a blue candle that reminds you of the sea and an oil burner where you can burn Sea Breeze fragrant oil. Try to spend at least 5 minutes every day here connecting with the Mermaids

• Create a Mermaid Journal ~ Write/Draw in your mermaid journal regularly. You can write poetry, spells, or even thoughts that you have about the mermaids or your inner mermaid. Spend time writing about everything that you discover about Mermaids and their Myths. Maybe you can decorate your journal with sea shells or sea weed. 

• Create a Collage ~ Collect pieces and pictures that remind you of mermaids and arrange them on a huge piece of card. There is no right or wrong way to create this collage, it's important that it represents to you what Mermaid energy is. Think about how you would look as a mermaid, (use websites such as FaceinHole.com to see what you'd look like as a mermaid, print and paste the picture on your collage).

• Wear Mermaid Jewellery ~ A simple and easily powerful way to connect with the Mermaids is by wearing mermaid/ocean inspired jewellery. I have a couple of Mermaid necklaces, and sea shell necklaces and bracelets that I pop on when I want to connect with the Mermaids in a subtle way. I also wear a Sea Shell hair clip when I feel a little more confident and spend many an hour perusing the shops like a walking, talking, shopping mermaid! 

• Read Mermaid Books ~ A quick search on Amazon or at your local library will bring up a whole host of mermaid related books and films. Films such as *The Little Mermaid*, *Splash*, and *Aquamarine* can help you relax, and connect with mermaid energy easily. Books on mermaids can offer lots of hints and tips on how you can embrace the mermaid within.

• Join a Mermaid Discussion Group ~ You can join a mermaid group online where you can talk to mermaids and mermaid appreciators without fear of being laughed at. There is a wonderful group on Facebook that I belong to that was created by Karen Kay, editor and creator of FAE Magazine & Mermaids & Mythology magazine ~ Mermaids of Facebook  

• Throw a Mermaid Party ~ Wear mermaid style makeup (Blues, greens and sparkles), flowing clothes such as maxi dresses, your mermaid style jewellery and throw a huge mermaid party for children and adults alike. perhaps you can offer to use your Mermaid oracle cards and offer fun light-hearted readings to friends. 

Make a play date with yourself and your inner mermaid! Go on! You'll have a splashing time!

This is a very exciting blog post, and a very special gift to you all from the angels and the universe.

 Doreen Virtue is taking part in a Blog Tour with Hay House, and she has kindly, stopped by, here at the *Living a Life of Blessings* Blog written by me, Aurora Brierley, and agreed to answer a few questions that I feel might help all lightworkers.

So, I spoke to Doreen and she told me not only all about her very exciting, and special event, but also all about Mermaids (A passion very close to my heart) along with how all Lightworkers can move forward. Let's see what *The Queen of Angels* ~ Daily Mail, had to say in response to my questions:

 Aurora ~ "Lots of Lightworkers, myself included are so inspired by you, your outlook on life and the work that you do. What advice can you give Lightworkers if they feel that they have a similar mission but are unsure how to begin?"

Doreen ~ "Firstly I appreciate your spirit and desire to help - the more Lightworkers the better! Each of us has an important part to play and just like with the different players in an orchestra, each part fits together to form the ensemble.  Here is the best thing to do: before falling asleep speak to your angel, simply say ‘Angel, please guide me clearly as to how I can help with the worlds healing’. The Angels say that the state of the world now is equivalent to it having cancer and that as with cancer there are two different ways to approach its treatment. We can be aggressive and angry and attack the ‘cancer’ or we can try a gentler and more effective approach by using spiritual high frequencies, love and light. This higher path of healing is our best option, but all of us are needed. So you should send energy to the earth every single day, deep into her core. Ask the earth to stabilize, ask her to forgive us for the things humanity has done to her. For just one person’s power to be directed in this way makes a huge, positive difference and lots of us have been doing this for many, many lifetimes and so we are very practiced. The bottom line is you are qualified to do this. You are qualified and ready to help the world. Please don't just look to famous or published Lightworkers to do all the work - we have got to all do this together."

Aurora ~ " Everyone knows you especially for your connection and work with the Angels, but like me, you have a deep connection with Mermaids and you are also writing a book about Mermaids "Mermaids 101". What can we expect from this book and how can we work with them?"

Doreen ~ "Well Mermaids represent the waters, which in turn represent the emotions, so my book Mermaids 101 and my work with Mermaids are multi-layered. Firstly working with Mermaids has to do with going deep into your unconscious and being extremely honest with yourself, especially with this energy of authenticity. So don't hold anything back from yourself and admit all of you deep dark secrets, find a way to forgive and come to peace with yourself. The second thing that mermaids represent is a connection to the star system, particularly to Sirius. There is a lot of research in my books Goddesses and Angels and Mermaids 101 on the amphibious deities and this is something I will talk about at my upcoming London workshop. In practical terms the Mermaid’s message for us right now is to speak up for the ocean and environment:  do recycle; do use eco-friendly cleaning supplies (cleaning soaps go right into the ocean); stay away from using plastics; if you go to the beach or lake clean up your trash when you leave; and speak up about any instance of cruelty to dolphins or fish. You know that in Japan they still slaughter our beautiful setations? Speak up and say something about this. The US navy is increasing the volume of their sonar system, which is causing dolphins to breach on the beach and die. Speak up if that is happening. In Peru we had 800 dolphins die on Earth Day, April 22, of this year. Speak up! Write letters and give speeches, boycott, take an active role. We really can make a huge positive difference and there is plenty of time to do this if we act right now."

Aurora ~ "What can Lightworkers expect at your event in June?"

Doreen ~ "The workshop in London will be one of a kind because I am going to unleash new messages from the Angels. I have been receiving messages from the Angels my whole life, but they have been intensifying through the first half of 2012. Many messages are wakeup calls for us personally: things that we can do as individuals, things that will help us stop procrastinating, overcome blocks and help us to find the right path, right now. However they have also given me messages for us globally on how we can help with troubling issues such as the environment and the economy.  The Angels are very political and environmental, but I often don’t cover these topics in my public talks. However at the London workshop I will be revealing some very startling information that the Angels have recently told me concerning the human connection to the ocean, our connection to other planets and our role as caretakers of the earth. I will also provide people with the information that they need for themselves and some instruction on how to connect to the Angels, especially if you are new to it. "

Discoveries in the Sea

Merry Meet,

I wanted to blog today about a dream and meditational experience I've had today along with my current thoughts vibrating from my heart.

Last night I dreamt that I was in a group of underwater sea-diving explorers. Anyone who knows me, knows that diving and indeed swimming is not a huge passion of mine due to childhood experiences with water. Anyway, there must have been around 8 of us approximately. We were gathered in some sort of forest, possibly a rainforest type location, I know we were hot and were in shorts and tank tops, kind of like when we go on safari. We were discussing where the dive would take place.

The next thing I recall is being underwater but without scuba gear. We were clearly communicating and breathing easily. We came across what seemed to be a huge rock at first sight, and upon closer inspection the lead explorer declared to us that we had just uncovered the largest amount of Sea Jasper in an unknown area. Now this was cause for celebration, not for the ego of the find, but for what we had found. Next we really explored this crystal by entering inside the crystal, walking through it's many facets - it was that huge! We spent time in the inner sanctuary's and we literally felt the crystal and all its awesome energy. It was said to us by the lead explorer that this was the purest and highest vibrating specimen of Sea Jasper he'd ever come across - and he'd visited ALL the Sea Jasper founding sites.

When I awoke, I was stunned it all and dashed to find my sea jasper. I held it and felt the love and telepathically told it that I had just been underwater and found it's Source of Oneness.

 Earlier today I had a lovely experience whilst meditating. I was sitting in a field when all of a sudden the land opened up to reveal a hidden mass of water, it appeared out of no where. There was no sign at all that there was water nearby.  Mermaids appeared out of the water and called me into the water and I told them I couldn't as I wasn't dressed for swimming.

 They surrounded my in a shield of pink light and my legs transformed into a blue - turquoise tail. I dived right in and swam with them. We splashed each other playfully until one mermaid gasped and said "Look!" and pointed to my chest area.

I looked down and the other mermaids looked and my skin had turned a beautiful grassy green and right in the middle of my chest, in my Heart Chakra area, a lime green sea shell appeared that was the brightest lime green I've ever seen. At first it was hard and felt *physical* and then it melted into my skin and became a translucent light energy there.

When I came back from my meditation, I looked down and saw silver glitter-like particles in between my toes that looked like the way bath bubbles looks when the light reflects upon them.

As my direct connection with the Mermaids is being strengthend and my past memories of past lives in Atlantis and my current life come flooding back, it seems that the Mermaid Kingdom is very much happy with how I am clearly embracing my Mer-Faerie-ness.

My mum whom I refer to as my Mer-Mother as she is a Piscean with a love of the sea, mermaids, sea horses and even had a tortoise when she was a little girl, told me that she believes that the Mermaid Kingdom have bestowed an initiation token of love upon me for my recent mer-faerie developments. She believes the green shell is a true gift of Love from the Mermaid Kingdom.

I tend to agree and feel very blessed.

My heart thoughts right now are acknowledging that just like many lightworkers who are here from other universes and dimensions to assist in the ascension of Gaia (Earth), I believe I am here for the same reason. I also believe that like many Indigo, Crystal, Rainbow, Star and even Blue Ray children, tend to feel, I am also feeling the same - the feeling of not fitting in completely. This is I believe due to my own frequency rising as I welcome in 5th dimensional energies into my life. 

I enjoy seeing the bond between  fellow thinking lightworkers and the links from their hearts to each other and around the world is amazing. It makes my heart sing.

However I don't have many similar connections and feel as though I am part of a Soul Group who are working in the same area of the Earth's Ascension. I do have Soul Family here, and connect with them very deeply, but we are on different missions.

Sometimes upon our missions, we meet like-minded people and instantly gel with them, othertimes we don't and can feel alone. If you are a lightworker who feels alone on their mission, please don't be sad, embrace the independance and know that you are not truly alone for there are many others like us out there. Send a beam of love to them, even though you don't know of them directly or personally, and I shall beam some love right back you.

Also, remember at those times when you may feel alone, you can always go within yourself and speak telepathically to your Soul Family Group wherever they are in the universe. Love knows no bounds or limitations.

Onwards and Upwards.....Broomstick Style!

Of late there has been a lot of cleansing energy around me. Painfully and emotionally draining, but cleansing all the same.
Now it's onwards and upwards....broomstick style.

I'm beginning to get back to my old self again, getting out my broomstick, dusting my hat off, and placed the wand on show! Figuratively speaking of course.

Throughout this year I will be taking a more active role within my solitary hedgewitchery, researching other branches of wicca. Im going to learn all I can, if it's no use to me, then hey, I've got the knowledge if someone ever needs advice.

I feel full of excitement today, I really do! I can't wait to get back in the garden, planting, tending to my herbs, and embracing nature and ME!

I'm reading The Real Witches Handbook....again! Should really read Hedgewitch by Rae Beth..... Think I will.

I've decided that Im going to do the odd couple of articles...but really focus on what I do best and enjoy best.....HELPING OTHERS through my psychic readings. But I do want to try and bring the Fae, Unicorns, Mermaids and benefits of paganism into people's lives. I'm also going to continue with the Indian Head Massage, and Im going to try and learn Crystal Healing. I'm also going to use my Celtic Reiki more. SO at some point I will re-read my Manuals and go for my Celtic Reiki Masters!

This really feels like the REAL me now! I feel that as much as I love angels. Faeries are for Me.
