Awaken Your Inner Faerie ~ Day 1

Published by 6th Books
RRP £9.99  Available on Amazon UK

So my gorgeous friend Alex Clarke, author of Awaken Your Inner Faerie in 30 Days gifted me her wonderful new book to awaken my inner faerie! It's a 30 day practice that help you tap into your creativity, wildness, fun source and powerful inner fae. I agreed to do a review of this book for her and it's the least I can do seeing as I am featured in this book - you can check out page 99 to see what I have to say.

I decided to dedicate a small blog each day for 30 days so that my journey to my inner faerie is documented and witnessed. I have worked with the faeries very publically in the past having a column with the leading faerie magazine (FAE Magazine), and being known as The Faerie Whisperer may ring some faerie bells to a lot of you lovely readers. But there is always more room to discover more about yourself and for me, today was Day 1.

So what did I learn today? I am so glad you asked that question!

I learnt all about the Faerie Clan that I belong to! Yes, you read that right, my faerie clan revealed itself to me through the magickal questionnaire contained within these magickal pages. You see, in Alex's practice working with clients on developing and awakening their inner faerie she is able to work out which clan they belong to which really helps with the rest of the sessions - and lessons in this book. A sneaky secret - tomorrow I get to meet the Faerie Queen of my Clan - exciting!

So anyway, I discovered that I belong to the "Omil of the Tree Roots" clan. You may be wondering what on earth they are? And rightly so because they are of the earth, they... Hang on let me let Alex explain in her words taken from the book;
The Omil clan live in hollows and tree roots; they dress in gossamer and have pointed wing tips to punch holes in lies and corruption. They are compulsive truth tellers. They also like to sing into spiders' webs to watch the universe wobble. They understand words change worlds. The Omil understand language as frequency which makes them excellent writers, journalists and storytellers. They have an otherworldly ability to emotional power games being played and how they will pan out. They communicate in words easily and can often cook up an interesting anecdote or two, or three hundred. Sadly if found in an environment where secrecy is norm, or self deceit encouraged, the Omils can feel themselves going round the bend. They end up looking at the world with despair and disgust; sometimes retreating into solitude and sleep, pottering generally grumping about and sleeping some more. (...) The Omil's totem is the spider who shows up to say 'Hey! You can change this! Weave some magic words together and let the manifestation unfurl...'

So there we have it - this witch and her inner faerie take no rubbish and lies from anyone! Can't say you haven't been warned now haha. On a more serious note, this makes sense to me for some many reasons - the entire interpretation that is. I have friends tell me that I was right about someone in their life who has less than friendly intentions towards them. I warned them beforehand -perhaps because I can see the emotional power games they are playing. I do know that all my life I've had this ability to see through the (excuse my French here) bullshit that people do, say and act with. None of it washes with me. It's interesting because to me the Omil Tree Clan sound similar to Indigo Warriors /Adults / Children that we read about. Standing up and fighting for justice. What else I find interesting and wonder fi there is a connection is that when I chose to train in a healing modality I chose to work with Celtic Reiki - Reiki using tree energy.

So, I've learnt a little more about me today and tomorrow I get to meet my Faerie Clan Queen - I have no idea what to expect and I am looking forward to it. Please come back and visit tomorrow to find out all about the Faerie Queen I meet during meditation! And if you want a piece of the action (We so know that you do!) then use the links above directly underneath the book image to purchase your copy!

Faerie Initiation

Faerie Blessings,

Today I have my *Faerie Priestess* hat on so to speak. It's been a while (it feels like it's been a while) but I really feel the strong energy of the fey around me of late.

It began on Samhain, I was heading for lunch at work with my friend whom I share the class with and the wind was up slightly, just enough to encourage the leaves to dance along the pathway in front of us. However whenever I got close to these leaves the wind would get stronger - enough to lift these leaves not just off the pathway but to above my height (I'm 5ft5) and then begin encircling me as we walked along the pathway to the local cake shop. My friend and colleague laughed and commented to me about how whenever I got near to the piles of leaves they just came to life like in the Disney film; Pocahontas.  When we got to the cake shop the ladies behind the counter laughed at us and said "Look at those leaves in your hair!", we turned to each other and laughed like we'd been consumed with Faerie Laughter, we had both indeed got many leaves in our hair!

I definitely felt the faeries and Elementals around me that day and since then too.

The Elementals have been calling to me over the past day or so repeatedly telling me that it's time I teach others about them once more (I've previously written about the Elementals some 4 or so years ago, and more recently, The Elemental Masters). I've also received guidance from Queen Mab (My Faery Mentor) who has discussed at length with me the concerns she has for FaeryLand. There were many others from FaeryLand that also attended my initiation including the Elm Tree Elf, Oak Tree Elf, the Elfin Prince and Faeries of the Foxgloves. There was mush fun after the *official* discussions and I tend to agree with what she has said to me. Let me explain.

*
Faery recently my whole persona has been questioned by myself, I've begun a journey of TrueSelf discovery and this is having a ripple effect upon all areas of my life; career, home life, health, interests, spirituality and friends. Dare I say that now I'm quite enjoying the fact that I have been "Given permission" (Although I needed no-one permission) to find myself! It's actually quite fun playing and seeing what excites me, and what doesn't.

I've made choices, decisions and plans about my *Muggle* career, but my spiritual career, my life path calling is really the main event going on right now as I discover my TrueSelf. I may be a Faerie Priestess, and a Witch but I finally accept (in the last 24 hours) that I don't look like a Faery at all - and that is OK, it's more than OK, it's super! Why? Because I look like ME! (and sometimes I even resemble Regina from Once Upon A Time)
Muggle Me
Faerie Priestess & Witchy ME

So, getting back to the serious message of this blog post, last night I was visited by the faeries and also Queen Mab and the Faerie Queen of Winter (Otherwise known and depicted as The Snow Queen), along with various faeries and elves who are now working with me on my Faery Pathway.

I received another initiation into the realm of fey after a discussion with Queen Mab about what the Faery Realm would really appreciate me to doing next. Queen Mab sat with me underneath the Wild Oak and told me how they had sat and watched me as I'd been walking a very jagged pathway this year but with complete Faerie Love couldn't intervene as it was part of my destiny to experience such pain and sadness. However during that time, like every other area in my life, my work as a Faerie Priestess had at times been strained. I agreed, because I've noticed how I've sometimes been slack in my teachings.

Queen Mab then gently touched my hand and said that my heart had been in it with good faith, so the blessings of the fey were with me. Then she told me that I needed to move on from my current pathway's and thrust myself forward as there are many people who will be coming to me soon through word of my teachings of the Fey. I was somewhat confused and she told me that some of my current avenues, my words go unheard and precious fey energy is wasted, and at this time in our evolution, Faery Energy is very precious. She asked me to close my eyes and describe to her what my vision is of my Faerie Priestess-hood, so I did, I told her that the teachings from me would be received warmly, welcomed and full of love, peace, joy and hope.

She placed a dragonfly upon my forehead and said "This emblem was gifted to you by us for this very vision - we share your faery vision".
Dragonfly's help you see through life's illusions, the illusions others have of themselves and also helps you to find your true power within.

We both discussed how when I first began teaching about the faeries way back in 2004 the energy of the fey was very secretive, and special in that it was a truly magickal experience. We talked through our senses about how when someones received insight from the fey back then, it was literally like putting the spark back into their faery soul and it was almost like  golden glitter lit them up. Of late, in the past Muggle Year or so, I haven't noticed that, which is really very sad.

Queen Mab and I share a vision for mankind and Faery-kind. We want the magick to return to your lives, to your eyes, your soul and your heart. It is with this vision that I was initiated into being a Beacon of Faery Love & Light to all those who are willing to receive it once more.

So my teachings will return to basics, they will be fun, light hearted and full of the magick that once was more than enough for mankind to accept into their hearts, in the hope that my light as a Faerie Priestess shines brightly once more, brightly enough to outshine those who are using the Realm of the Fey for monetary or egotistical gain. Faeries hate ego's they see what damage they cause, they are by no means angels in the heavenly sense, but they know an honest heart and soul when they see and meet one.

I have always said that "I work for the Faery and with the Faery". And that is what I stand by. I am not concerned with what or whom I an affiliated to, my heart and soul is of the Faery and my TrueSelf, and that it where is will remain forever more.

Queen Mab, introduced me to the Faery Queen of Winter and said that as I step up as Faerie Priestess and also as a Human being called Aurora, I need to stop being so much a of Doormat. Mab tells you how it is and she doesn't take time to be polite if the message is strong enough!

She showed me where I had been a doormat and allowed people to take advantage of my good nature and of my Emerald Sea-Shelled Faerie Heart. I agreed that I had always be a "nice" person, to which she took my hand and said, "My child, I am not asking you to change, We love you as you are, that is what makes you our Faerie Priestess. However I want you to *Step into your Faery Power* once and for all." I asked Mab how I was to do this and she said that the Faery Queen of Winter will coach me and will be with me until Spring. In that time I will have perfected the art of  *Standing in my Faery Power*.

So you see, I am really beginning to see my life change dramatically and improve since having the rug pulled from underneath my feet. And I know for sure now that the Faeries, do well and truly have my back!

*Touched by the Faeries*

Faerie Blessings,

Today I decided to change my blog name and address to ****Faerie Whisperer**** ~ it made perfect sense to as I am known as *The Faerie Whisperer* who works in lots of different spiritual ways underneath her toadstool! So here on this blog, you will get a whole rainbow of themed spiritual teachings, insight, and diary posts by me.

Also, today I was reminded just how inspiring and awesome being touched by faeries for the first time can really be. I get a good amount of emails and messages via Facebook from people whom have been touched by the Fae  and they share their experiences with me (Which I am ever so grateful and blessed for).

Sometimes when we are touched by the faeries it can be a fleeting second when we see them or suspect we see them flutter on by, others can be a rewarding and healing experience where we enter a long communication with them either verbally or telepathically. But it is not the time that you spend with the fae or how long the communication lasts that is important, it is the love and lesson you bring back from the moment into your everyday waking life that matters. What you do with the special gift that the faeries have bestowed upon you is what counts!

I have been fortunate enough to have had many faerie blessings bestowed upon me right from having a Faerie Queen defend my corner and protecting me from harm, to the Faerie Tokens/Emblems that have been bestowed upon me through my work as a Faerie Priestess. I also count the little signs from nature that I receive when I ask for guidance and reassurance as gifts of the fae because in truth that's what they are, they are a heartfelt gift from the Faeries.

Although my receiving these gifts are wonderfully enchanting within themselves, they are not really important - it's how I used these gifts that matters. For example, the Faerie Priestess Emblems that I have received such as the Butterfly, I use spiritually when I am in need to transformation, or I want to turn a bad situation good. I visualize hundreds and thousands of butterflies surrounding the situation, clearing away the negativity and replacing it with sparkling energy of pure divine love and light. I also use these butterflies in World Situations such as the recent horrific tragedy in Aurora, USA. It's important that we Lightworkers ALWAYS strive to turn bad situations into good ones. We can't change what happens or take away what has happened, but we CAN help to diminish the negative black energy upholding the traumas. it's our Lightworker duty.

Make sure you think about the gifts the faeries have given you, be they a dream, a sign, a flower, a shape in the clouds, or even a feeling. Think about how you can use the energy to help others. If you are unsure how your particular gift can help others, ask the faeries for guidance, they WILL guide you if you ask them.

**If you would like to send me your faerie experiences or stories, please feel free to email them to me at TheFaerieWhisperer@Gmail.com or contact me via my Facebook Page **

Pagan Blog Project Week 11 ~ Faeries and being the Faerie Whisperer

*My OFFICIAL Faerie Whisperer Logo designed by Karen Kay of FAE Magazine

Merry Meet everyone,

For me this week was an obvious choice of topic as I both love and work in partnership with the faeries. I thought I'd tell you what faeries are and mean to me and how I work with them.

Faeries are nature angels, and there are many different beings within the faerie realm. The faeries first appeared to me many many years ago when I was a child and in the garden. The would gently land upon my hand in the guise of a butterfly. They would sit there quietly and a sudden rush of warmth and peace would descend upon me. I would recieve messages in my head from them and they would say "We love you dear child". I would feel a sudden urge of such joy that sometimes I would shed a tear of happiness at the power of love. Throughout my childhood they let me grow up enjoying the beauty of the earth around us. I have always lived with a beautiful cat, first Tinkerbelle (Whom Mum had before she even had me), then Ginger, and now Pepsie and Magick. Where-ever there are animals there are faeries for the faeries are the natural faerie guardians (Like a guardian angel) of all animals.
I spent my childhood growing up the countryside of Shropshire. Many days and weekends were spent in Bewdley, Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, bromsgrove to name but a few. But my heart lies between the River Severn in Bewdley and the Clee Hills in Ludlow. From sitting along the riverbank watching the swans, ducks and fish swim past, and listening to the breeze gently whipping the willow branches as the air elementals otherwise known as the sylphs flutter on by, to gazing at the views of the valleys, fields and meadows as we sat on top of Clee Hill. Everywhere is filled with Faeries. Mum taught me that. She has a great love for Dragonflies, a very special faerie companion, and I share the love for them, along with butterflies for reasons I will mention a little later on in the post.

It wasn't until 2004, the year my Father passed away with Cancer that the faeries began to make themselves more known to me and began guiding me along a pathway that would forever change my life. Mum had been shopping and when she came back, she had brought me my first ever set of Faerie Oracle cards by Brian & Wendy Froud, along with a meditation CD and a book called "How to Catch Faeries" and explained to me that My father and she had decided to purchase them for me as they felt it was important for my spiritual development. I think they both knew that the faeries were somehow to play a huge part in my life as I grew up. At 16 years old, I was slightly unsure as to how I would be viewed when I began giving free psychic and mediumship readings to people all over the world via the internet from the faeries. However I needn't have worried as everyone was touched by their magick that I channelled through my readings. I always tell clients when it's something I'm seeing/feeling/hearing and when it is a spiritual being showing/telling me something.
I was pleased with how supportive my parents were and how my Mother still is with my work with the faeries as one can imagine some people may endure a tough time when admitting they work with faeries. Dad passed away November 2004, and at 16 years old, although I knew very much that he was still around and that I had the loving support of Family and Spiritual Guides of all kinds there to support me, it does not replace the fact that in one sense, a little girl's father is no longer there.

In 2006 I was guided to work with the trees and took my Celtic Reiki 1 and 2 training. This healing system works perfectly with my own beliefs and values along with my spirituality as you connect with the tree energies and Dryads (faeries within the trees) to channel healing energy to animals, people, plants, oceans and also the universe. I've found that Celtic Reiki works extremly well especially when healing with Animals as I've seen the results with my own pets. I finally became a Celtic Reiki Master in 2011 and am working now with my Celtic Reiki Guide to put together a manual and course for others to be attuned by me.

I began to work more and more with the faeries behind the scenes with private clients and friends whilst working more publically about angels and our loved ones in the afterlife. Again I wasn't sure how many people would take my working with the faeries. Luckily, the faeries supported my background work with them and one day told me it was time to let people know that I was indeed working with them. I questioned them about how they could be so supportive of me yet I was seemingly hiding my knowledge of them to a certain degree. They lovingly replied that I was about to find out.
A few days later I encoutered a rather tough experience where my beliefs and abilities were questioned. I knew that I had nothing to prove and so handed it over to the faeries. At once Queen Mab appeared before my very eyes with her chariot and consort. She told me matter of factly that all wrongs would be put right. I had nothing to fear. I believed her and cried with appreciation. The issue was dealt with and never became a problem again. It wasn't long after this that Queen Mab asked me how I felt since being initiated as a Faerie Priestess. I was puzzled and thought she had in fact gotten me confused with someone else. She smiled and told me to relax so I did as I was at the time sunbathing in the garden. She took me on a journey to faerieland where they performed the blessing ceremony of my becoming a faerie priestess. She crowned me with roses and placed upon the crown my *Faerie Priestess Emblem* ~ The Butterfly. She told me of its significance to me, the magick it carried for me and my work and said that over Earthly time I would infact gain more Faerie tokens of power as I developed along my preistess pathway.  Her word was kept as I have been given a Faerie Heart, a Dragonfly, a Raven and a Tree emblem.

Fast forward a few years and in 2010 I became known as *The Faerie Whisperer*, the name was given me by Queen Mab as she said my faerie teachings would touch people with such strength yet be spoken as a whisper. She showed me how my teachings would be gentle and full of love and light, yet they would carry such immense power. Even now I sometimes think my teachings are too soft, yet I know that I channel teachings of love and wisdom from the feeback I recieve so I have learnt not to question the faeries now. I trust them wholeheartedly for which I am rewarded. During the Rememberance Sunday at around 10:50am November 2010, I was offered the pathway that has changed my life for the more positive. Karen Kay of FAE Magazine asked me to become a part of the FAE team as the *Faerie Whisperer* columnist in FAE Magazine. I accepted gladly as I knew this was the next step the Faeries and in particular my faerie guide and mentor, Queen Mab had mapped out for me in my destiny.

Since then, I have worked with wonderful people connecting them to faeries, their own faerie guardians, I have performed healings using Celtic Reiki, I have become a Elven Shamanic Healing Master and began special healing work with the Soul Faeries. I have had wonderful feedback from the clients whom have been touched the Soul Faeries in my healings. I have other projects currently being worked on behind the scenes with the Faeries. Details will be revealed as and when the faeries ask me to. I am a very busy Faerie Priestess right now and just know that in a positive way, I am only going to become even busier.

In the last 24 hours I have been receiving more information from my Faerie Mentor and from external sources whom have been guided by the faeries to communicate with me about my next mission giving me information and guidance on what needs to be done and how to go about it. All this will be revealed in the Summer Issue of FAE Magazine out in the UK May 1st.

I hope you have enjoyed my post on how I work with the faeries and how faeries are very much a part of who I am and a part of my destiny. I would love to read your thoughts/comments

Lots of love filled with Faerie Blessings

Faerie's and Children

Working in a primary school, I see faeries daily as they are naturally attracted to children because of their natural innocence and openness to new experiences and fun. I’ve even had fun loving faeries play hide and seek with a girls’ sparkly headband. Luckily after my request to the faeries to bring back the headband before home time, the little girl went home happy headband firmly in place. However faeries also strive to protect our little ones from all harm.
I can understand that as a parent or carer of children our instincts are to protect them. So how can we work with faeries to protect our innocents?
~
At bedtime we can call upon the Dream-Keeper Faerie to sprinkle magickal sleeping & dreaming dust upon our children to ensure only good dreams – protecting our child from bad dreams. Night terrors can be upsetting for both parent/carer and child with boogie men appearing after dark from inside the wardrobe or underneath the bed (which usually means that you’ve got a darkened corner gathering negative energy that could be easily cleansed by placing some Rose Quartz in these spots to act as a shield). Nothing can permeate the force of *Love*, only *Love*. The Dream-Keeper Faerie acts as a faerie Dream Catcher, filtering out all the bad dreams to ensure a perfectly peaceful nights sleep.
*
When you set off for school you can ask your child’s faerie guardian to guard, guide, inspire and protect them throughout the day. This can be especially comforting to children who find going to school difficult or frightening. Also a good idea for children’s first day at school or the “Back to School” week. As a teacher, I have experienced many young children crying on their way into school through fear of leaving their parents. The thought of having a secret faerie guardian by their side throughout the day who can keep them safe and happy can be a comfort to both Mum/Dad/Carer and Child.
*
Talk to your child about faerie guardians, helping them to take responsibility for their own magickal protection. This can give our innocent faerie children confidence in themselves, plus they get to do a bit of faerie magic. There is lots of ways that you can connect to your Faerie Guardians with your children. I will be producing a leaflet soon on this that will be available via Email. Why not sit and talk about them, asking your child to describe what they look like, draw and colour a picture of them, make a collage or have fun finger painting them. Then you can hang them on the wall of your Child’s bedroom helping them feel safe, loved and just a little bit *faerie* special.
*
We all have ethereal faerie wings. Why not sit, talk and meditate with your child to find your faerie wings. You could even draw your faerie wings so you can remember what they look like. Visual images and creating them are very good for enhancing both play and memory in children, so you are not only having fun, you are creating faerie magick and helping your child to grow and learn through play.
*
Call upon the Earth Elementals by encouraging your child to carry a protective crystal or two. Tiger’s eye, amethyst and red jasper are all especially good for this. Of course rose quartz is a fantastic crystal for children to carry – ensuring faerie love truly is all around them.
Shhh! don’t tell anyone, but these Child Faerie Friendly tips are also fabulous for Grown-up Faeries too! Teehee!

Pagan Blog Project 2012 ~ Week 6 ~ Cards

Merry Meet,

This week I wanted to share with you perhaps the most important part of my pathway since I began even being intrigued by the craft...Cards. It's the one aspect that has stuck with me through thick and thin, doubt and belief. The use of Oracle and Tarot cards perhaps in some way, sum up who I am, or what I am interested in.

My first oracle deck I ever used was *Messages from the Angels* by Doreen Virtue.

I was 13 years old and I'd had the cards for a while and one day after school I felt that it was the right time to use them. So I lit a few candles and sat myself on my bedroom floor (As a teen I always loved sitting on my floor - it grounded me) and looked through the accompaning booklet for a spread and idea on what to ask the cards. Then I found it. "Recieve a message from a deceased loved one". Now communing with spirit isn't something I always planned on doing, it was something that I was born with... it certainly feels that way. But I missed my Nan, she'd died 10 years previous and I wanted to feel her close to me... I wanted some proof that she was around me and that the visions I had wasn't just wishful thinking on my part.

I shuffled the cards and hoped. I didn't expect anything profound. To be honest I'm not sure what I expected at 13 years old.

But then the card fell out. So I stopped. I put the cards down and picked it up. I turned it over.

I read it. I cried. I then talked to my nan for what seemed like hours.

And that was how I started. How I really got the boot up the behind because after that I thought, If I can be reassured like this, could I do it for others?

So  joined an online chatroom, and forums and practised everyday. Everyday I was bombarded with requests for readings.

It got to the stage where I planned on pulling 3 cards and would begin interpreting the angels messages from the first card and then the other two would be fitted in the reading a long time later as Spirit would draw to me and communicate with their loved ones.... all via a chatroom.... and chatroom user name. I couldn't tell you any of the names as I simply do not know. They couldn't tell you who I was... well they could... WhiteWitch04... mainly, but beside the point. Those oracle cards became a staple to my craft.

After that I used Tarot cards, faerie cards, mermaid cards... you name them I have them! And I love them! Each deck offers me a different vibration to work on and connect with the clients needs. Right now, I love working with my Faerie Heart Oracle, and Romance Angels decks as at the moment it seems that is what people are drawn to me for. But each day brings new opportunities and new people with new issues and concerns.

Whichever deck they need, or whatever their concern, it is my Duty to my own Craft, to the Witch Inside of me to do my best to help them. It's a vow I took and one I will not break... and still have not broken in 10 years.

Thank you for reading about a huge part of my life.

Blessed Be,
Aurora

Vintage Witchery

Merry Meet,

It's that time of year when I start to think about the changes I'd like to make in my home and garden this year. I also think about what I'd like to keep, or enhance. Around February, especially Imbolc onwards I get the decorating bug and am considering the re-decoration of my kitchen and bathroom to make them more country vintage witch.

So the kitchen I am thinking *pale pink* on the walls so that it goes to something like this;

I love the thought of having a pink kitchen again. I grew up with a pink kitchen as a young girl. We have some fabulous vintage floral patterned items already for the kitchen and I just know the pink will only enhance this.

Now my bathroom, well, I have been browsing catalogues and seen some fabulous wallpaper that would really bring out the tiles we have in the bathroom, and have decided that I simply must have it. I've calculated that I'd only need 3 rolls (as the rest is tiles) so for a fabulous £45 I can have this all over my bathroom.

I have decided against wooden flooring or infact tiles or lino in the bathroom purely because I've "been there done that - and fell on my witchy bum far too many times". So I'm opting either for a nice plush gentle blue or soft pink carpet. I want to walk into my Vintage Mermaid Cove on something that resembles soft pink/blue sand.

***

Now, my bedroom has been a modern floral deal for about a year or so now, yet as I grow and move into the costume of 'homemaker' that was awaiting me laid on the chenille chair I feel more grown up and the need to actually start making a home now. So I am opting still for florals yet soft and gentle ones now. Yet I cannot decide whether to opt for soft lilac, soft pink or indeed a more floral yet gentle red? :/ It has me in somewhat of a predicament.

Because I have this image within my vintage witchy mind of having blinds (for privacy) with white muslin voiles browly easily in the gentle breeze, the smell of fresh lavender and rose in the bedroom as you walk in, White linen bedding with floral lace draping down the sides,

Over my bed will be a canopy draped with floral lights to really light the faerie *princess* priestess to bed.

A dainty armchair in the corner draped with comfy cushions and throws with a side table with a vase of pink roses on the side with a tablecloth and doile, just waiting for me to come home and sit to read a fabulous book.  On the walls will be vintage photos of cottage gardens, faeires, mermaids and flowers along with wall lights to soften the main light at night.

*

Whilst writing this blog I have decided that I would love a pink bedroom... very soft and delicate as I can really add lots of gentle candy colours to the room at different times to bring out the life of the pink.

As for the garden I really would love to create this... as you'll see from the picture this is actually all ons omeones patio.... AMAZING!!

Perhaps more realistically I can add some vintage witchery charm to the front of my home in my front garden by planting strong scented lavender and rosemary, adding a tub of marigolds by the front door to welcome prosperity, lots of scented roses and wild flowers to add to the already existing butterfly (buddleja davidii) bush that I have there. It's lovely mowing the lawn with the faeries permission and dancing with the butterflies at the same time. I may plant some snapdragons/foxgloves, along the front mixed in with my ivy.
I thought about adding a few wall plaques and hanging baskets on the front either side of the window to add colour and life. I may even go for a window box this year. I shall of course have to do a charm to protect all these lovely things being stolen (not that it's a rough neighbourhood...just that one neighbour whom I have very strong suspicions is a Witch!!! Yes... she has gargoyles on the front garden, ivy trailing over the wall - same as myself - lavender, rosemary, and marigolds next to her door -  well i have sadly caught her ripping my planting from my garden and then planting them in her own :(   ) so that they can grow in the garden and thrive.

It sounds perfectly enchanting don't you think?

I've also decided that I would really love to start a new hobby ... **Scrapbooking**, I feel I can create my own vintage world of love in a scrapbook which can also act as a source of inspiration. I am so fabulously excited now. I even have my Mum eager to begin the home changes now. yay!!

So this Vintage Witch Inside is off to create her scrapbook of ideas for her wonderfully witchy home.

Pagan Blog Project 2012 ~ Butterflies ~ Week 3

Merry Meet,

Today is week 3 of the PBP and my post is all about some very charming and magickal spiritual messengers ~ BUTTERFLIES!!!

Butterflies for me are more than just something that flies around the plants during spring/summer. They are a powerful symbol of spirit energies and transformation which is probably what they are known for. The symbolism of transforming from a catalyst into a beautiful fluttering butterfly is simply enchanting don't you think? They bring with them many hidden messages such as "I love you - I'm OK" from a loved one in the Summerlands/Spirit World, a message of hope - that things can indeed change for the better, and for me, like perhaps many others a symbolic message that the Faeries are near.

Way back in 2006 I began writing more and more publically about faeries and became the *Angelic Faerie Whisperer* as I had been initiated with the blessing of Queen Mab in FaerieLand, which gave me the absolute honour of being a **Faerie Priestess**. You can read in an earlier post of mine about a poem I wrote in 2006 on World Faerie Day on asking for Faerie Guidance. This was written using my priestesshood initiation as my muse. So what's this got to do with Butterflies I hear you ask?

Im so glad you asked me that! :)

Queen Mab, gave me a symbolic Faerie Priestess-Hood emblem which would be my magickal key to FaerieLand when I attend meetings with the Faerie Council. That emblem became also my *official* *Faerie Whisperer* logo/emblem and Faerie Spiritual Tiara/Crown... it was of course a **BUTTERFLY**.

Since my initiation I have worked with the faeries very closely and passed through more initiations where I've been given more symbols to add to my tiara/crown, such as A FaerieHeart, A Dragonfly, and A Raven (the latter a gift from Morgan Le Fay). But although I love and appreciate these gifts so very much, I simply adore and treasure my Butterfly.

Throughout my day I come across Butterflies in many guises, sometimes I'll turn a page and see the word or a picture, I may walk into a shop and see something decorated with butterflies, and even recieve Butterfly gifts unexpectedly. My slippers, bedroom bedding, diary, clothes and even bubble bath bottles all carry the energy of the Butterfly with its pictorial magick. For me, the craft would not be *my craft* without a butterfly.

What do you associate with a butterfly?

Brightest Butterfly Blessings,
Aurora ~ Faerie Whisperer ~ Faerie Priestess )O(
