Why Crystals Support Your Re-Awakening

Hi Boho Witch Babe,

Today I wanted to stop by and share with you one of the many spiritual support tools that I'm using right now to help me Re-Awaken the Witch Inside.

I'm talking about CRYSTALS

I've been a believer and collector of crystals for quite a few years now, but there have been only a handful of instances where I've worked with crystals and thought "Holy Moly - That happened because of the crystals I used. But being a Boho Witch - Crystals were always going to be in my vibe right?

There was the occasion where a Black Tourmaline pendulum and Celestite cluster placed under my pillow helped me travel in my dreams back to a past life of mine in Egypt.

There was the time that an Amethyst ring manifested a man into my life - not the forever one - but a man all the same who was right for me at the time.

Also, the three crystals which I can't remember for the life of me what they were called now that I placed on my upper abdomen area prior to an MRI scan seemingly made my 'gallstones' vanish overnight! (Please see your GP/Doctor if you have ANY ailments whatsoever!!)

But right now as I face what feels like a tarot story that would consist of The Tower, Six of Swords and now the Two of Swords (Shit hitting the fan, coming out the other side, and now facing uncertainty!), I have once again been looking to crystal energies to help support this transition and change period in my life.

With the help, support and guidance of my Sister Witch Rosie who happens to own a witchy shop, I have been working more and more with crystals lately - literally using them as a crutch at one point.

First I was guided to Citrine for abundance and happiness - the joyful vibe to help me with my manifesting energy. I don't usually get on with citrine - I literally become angry and vile when I'm working with it, but I've bonded beautifully with a Citrine bracelet from Rosie's shop. Now, it's become one of my all time favourite crystals to work with!

Then I was guided to Rose Quartz for...Looooove!!! Both self love and romantic love. I feel particularly close to the Rose Quartz vibes and have been carrying a tumblestone around in my bra, sleeping with it under my pillow, and have ordered pendants from the glory that is Ebay of it too. They've not arrived yet but when they do, be sure to check back on my Instagram account for piccies!

I'm also really drawn to Clear Quartz and Amethyst right now - like amethyst is so freaking dreamy and powerful!!! I will share a pic of my Amethyst cluster on my IG account (come follow me on instagram - search for The Boho Witch) and in fact I believe my Amethyst pendant totally got me through college! So, I'm really vibing with those crystals too!

I love the fancy crystals as I call them - you know those Elestial Aqua Aura Quartz types - but Oh My Goddess do I love the beautiful and radiant power of the "Simple stones".

I'm feeling this morning the urge to work with my Goddess Moonstone crystal today - so i'll give that a try and let you know how I get on with it - Moonstone sometimes can make me feel unwell as it triggers me - probably my fear of stepping into my Witch Power, but I keep on trying!

I decided to work with crystals to support me right now because sometimes you can't automatically reach the energy or vibe you desire, so I like a little help from those who can, and those that can support me as I do this, which is why I freaking love crystals. They just know intuitively what it is that you REALLY need and they vibe with you.

Do you work with crystals Boho Witch Babes? If you do, leave a comment below - I wanna know all about yours, if you're on Instagram - follow me, and leave a comment or tag me in your crystal pics - I wanna see your babies!

Until next time, Stay True to You,

Re-Awakening The Witch Inside

Hi There Beautiful Goddess,

I started reading a book yesterday titled "Witch" by Lisa Lister, it was the first book I'd picked up on this topic in a good while. I'm talking years. I know it's been years because today marks the day that it's been 2 years since I last blogged on here. Back then I'd started to lose my way.

Yesterday as I sat reading this book, I cried tears of release, relief and re-awakening.

I heard The Call. It was strong. It was unavoidable.

I have been living a life the past 2 years that whilst has and is so bloody amazing, it hasn't been truly authentic - not 100%. I've not been living a lie, but I've been denying a part of me that I once embraced. I realised that I've given my power away in order to 'fit in' and I don't fit in. Simple.

I am a Boho Witch, I love the free-spirit vibe of being what you could call an eclectic witch if you were to put a name on it. I prefer to say I'm a spiritual person. A spiritual woman who is re-awakening her inner witch. I am a Boho Witch.

I'm not entirely sure where this Re-Awakening of the Witch Inside (an obvious play on my previous blog title for those who haven't followed me before - my blog used to be The Witch Inside), it may not go anywhere, I may blog weekly, monthly, daily - who knows? I'm not into structure and discipline. I'm a free-spirited Boho Witch Babe.

I just know that I needed to Re-Awaken the Witch Inside, and to do that I had to become The Boho Witch. What lies ahead is in the hands of the Goddess and the Universe.

Isn't that just so freaking exciting - that I have no plans for this blog at all, for this journey of mine? I'm just hitting the road and seeing where it takes me.

I have an Instagram account where you can reach me daily - The Boho Witch - so come follow me there and let's see what magic awaits us shall we?

Until next time - Stay True To You

What Makes A Witch Authentic?

Hello my Witchlings,

I've been gone for far too long. You could say that I've been off zooming on my broom but the truth is, that broom has been standing in the corner gathering dust. Bad Witchy. No cookie for me. I truly hope to make more of an effort with this blog by posting at least once a week - although the book reviews will be little rather than often.

I realised I've been spending far too much of my precious witchy time reviewing books, and as enjoyable as it once was, we all know that we head to amazon to check out previous buyers opinions rather than trawling blogs. So I asked my friends what they would like me to do; book review or blog authentically with creations. It was a resounding BLOG AUTHENTICALLY WITH CREATION along with the sweetest "We miss YOU" message. It touched my heart very deeply. I have listened and here I am with a rather brilliant topic and question I think. (Please do let me know your opinions).

The other night I dreamt of having animals outside of my bedroom door, I'm still deciphering what this dream actually means based on the animals that were there, but I really believe that there is a deep and meaningful message to it. I have always believed in the power of my dreamtime, and have over the quarter of a century of my existence (goddess that makes me sound old - I'm only 25), had a great many of prophetic dreams that many have scoffed at. The thing is, I never asked for anyone's permission or validation of these dreams, I simply shared them with whom I thought were like minded folk. I know my self, I know my own inner mechanical workings, I have all the validation within. Which, going back to the subject I am discussing with you here means that when it comes to me and my dreamtime - I am authentically assured.

But what makes a witch authentic?

This is a question that I began my day with this morning when my darling little Mr Magick Man woke me up at 5:15am and we snuggled and purred (You do know I'm talking about my Cat here don't you? ;) ) and I grabbed a witchy book from the side and began reading. I began to wonder exactly what does make an authentic witch, and I knew from that moment it would make an excellent discussion here amongst us.

So what does make a witch authentic in her/him self, in her/his practice, and perhaps in her/his teachings? Is it the clothes they wear, the jewellery they display, the ritualistic photos that are splashed across social media, or is it even the branch of the craft that they practice? I don't think it is at all. Before, when I was just starting out on my path I thought it was so super important for me to have the elaborate altar in my home, because that would make me a witch, and I thought that if I had witchy items displayed in my bedroom and home and even garden that would make me a witch for sure. I was young, naive, and a beginner. Who hasn't got some "Oppsy" to share about their beginnings in the craft.

Over time I have come to realise that it really doesn't matter how often you miss a lunar cycle ritual, or even that you forget to cast a spell on the full moon, and you don't always have a witchy altar on display, heck you may not even pick up a book on the craft for months. Your pentacle is in your jewellery box, the candles are low on stock, you may even have forgotten some of the theory you once learnt. But NONE of that matters. Not one tiny bit. Not to the Goddess, Not to the God, and it certainly shouldn't matter to You.

What does matter however is the intention and purity within your heart. Do you always try to be grateful? Do you smile at passers by? Do you try to help whenever you can, in whatever way you can? Do you feel fondness for Mother Nature; the trees, flowers, plants, grass? Do you feel the love for the animal kingdom and realise just how blessed you are to share your existence with all of them and the beauty of this world? Then I believe within my heart that all of that is what makes you an Authentic Witch. When you feel a calling to the craft path, and you honour that calling AS and WHEN you can with or without the extras, then you are being authentic in your craft practice, your life as a follower of the craft, and as a teacher of the craft as you go about your day to day living setting an example to those around you. All the other stuff is just glitter. And we can sparkle with or without the physical glitter.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about what you think makes an authentic witch, and how you remain authentic in your craft practice. If you have time, please stop by my lovely friend Lyn Thurman's blog where she's posted a blog of a sister theme to this one on how you can feel more witchy. It really is a most excellent read. Just click on the picture below and don't forget to mention who sent you :)

☆ Today's Witchy Insight ~ October 8th 2013 ☆

Today's Witchy Insight is from the world of Tarot ~ The Magician who to me always inspires me and fills me with such hope. He also reminds me of a Universal teaching that has become so popular these days we can actually deem it fashionable ;  The Law of Attraction.

In my first days of learning tarot, The Magician was my most hoped for card as I learnt that not only was he balanced (being a Libran, this is important to me) by his awareness of all 4 elements; represented by the cup, wand, sword and pentacle (water, fire, air and earth respectively) but he had the ability to do anything he put his mind to.

I think everyone, regardless of their pathway or life circumstances can be inspired by the presence of this energy. Don't we all want to be told that WE CAN IF WE TRY? I believe that The Magician arrives in our lives when we may be feeling hopeless, despair or lacking in confidence, to remind us that if we only use the tools that we have around us (just like he does laid upon the table) then we can be living a life that others may see as only merely a dream.

I also believe this card can mean that we are about to enter a phase in our lives where we are going to be tested, perhaps to the max, but definitely we are going to have our boundaries pushed. What do we do in this situation? We use all of our elemental spirit, our experiences, our heartaches, our passions, our ideas and thoughts, and our resources to throw everything we have at this situation and by utilizing the power of our thoughts (WE CAN IF WE TRY), come out the other end happier, healthier, wiser and proud of our achievement.

I hope everyone can take the energy of The Magician with them over the next 24 hours or so and carry him with them throughout their lives,

Full Moon Blog Changes

Hiya,

I am so pleased that you have taken the time to stop by, read my blog and browse my pages.

Here at *The Goddess Within* (yes another name change -  I swear it's the full moon) I hope to blog about my musings and ponderings on life, metaphysical topics and my journey to  find the Goddess Voice within me.

Like most 20 something's we have strong opinions (don't we all at any age!), questions that we are dying to ask our elders and fellow 20 something's, and generally a voice that we desire to be heard. My blog (here) is where I want to do that - respectfully of course, but I am fed up of not simply speaking my mind and tip-toeing around others so as to not hurt their feelings, yet my own feelings get hurt in the process. Where am I honouring my Goddess Voice within there? I'm not! And that is the one major thing I need to change in my life. I really need to start standing up for myself even more than I do now - because sometimes, people and their opinions can be fierce and hurt you deeply.

I chose to change my blog to reflect my current journey. I know how many of you really enjoyed reading my blog when I first began writing it back in 2009 when it was known as *THE WITCH INSIDE*, but right now, that name doesn't suit me as it's too confined for me. Right now I'm growing in life in all ways and all areas and I'm finding it more and more relevant to note that I am searching for the deep Goddess Voice within me, hence the name *THE GODDESS WITHIN*

The posts will hopefully reflect more of the topics that I originally used to blog about and won't really have any life coaching based posts as if you do want to read them, you can read them on my other blog. I'd love to get your feedback on what posts you love reading on here; as it's been a while since I wrote any of those posts. I apologise for my lack of clarity recently on this blog, and I do hope you can find it in your hearts to stick around and support me as I try to reclaim that part of me.
